CLUD (Cardiff Luminous Underground Disco) was born through a desire to bring the spirit of a festival to the club scene of Cardiff. We hope to nurture a psychedelic scene in our home city while appealing to a broad range of alternative interests.

CLUD is a psychedelic party, designed to appeal to the two escapist human desires of expanding one's consciousness and partying your nut off! You can expect to find an elaborate environment with immersive decor, powerful sound, lighting and visuals, music across a broad range of moods, a chai cafe and market place, an interactive healing and art area, circus performers and costumed dancers and lots of loved up party silliness.

Our first event 'Rock the Dinosaur' was held in an unrecognisably transformed Owain Glyndwr pub in central Cardiff on the 17th March 2006. From lunch time sporty boozer to psychedelic mayhem in an afternoon of frantic work, it was probably one of the most unlikely venues for a psychedelic party, ever. The event exceeded all expectations, drawing 325 people and starting the foundations of CLUD.

CLUD then took a break while founding members Rob and Andy concentrated on passing their exams. A general restructuring of the organisation followed, with the addition of several new members. The newly reformed CLUD celebrated it's first birthday with the '20,000 Leagues Under The Psy' party in March 2007, another resounding success which attracted a sell out crowd.

Following "Rumble in the Jungle" in November 2007, the standard has been set and more CLUDs are on the horizon!
